Maghreb Secours: A Global Commitment to the Well-Being of Vulnerable Populations
Since its creation, Maghreb Secours has been an association recognized for its commitment to the most deprived populations in Morocco. In 2024, the association is expanding its actions to meet vital needs in several key areas.
Among the new departments, life-saving medical operations are at the heart of our mission. Maghreb Secours supports urgent surgical interventions, particularly for children with serious illnesses, thus ensuring access to essential care for the most vulnerable. We also provide prosthetics and orthotics to people with disabilities, thus offering them a chance to regain mobility and autonomy. It is obvious that the Moroccan Government has implemented a policy of care for socially excluded people or people with low resources by guaranteeing access to hospitals. The large influx into public health services does not always allow for rapid care. Patients contact our association in order to deal with the most urgent matters.
Faced with the water crisis in rural areas, our association is actively involved in digging of wells authorized to ensure sustainable access to drinking water in isolated douars. These initiatives help to slow rural exodus and maintain a stable agricultural life for local families.
Finally, Maghreb Secours plays a crucial role in guiding young people. Through awareness programs for students, we encourage them to pursue professional careers in Morocco, thus promoting the socio-economic development of the country. Through these actions, we aspire to build an inclusive, united and resilient Morocco.
All together for a Morocco, a Maghreb in a united Africa!
