Maghreb Secours Association: A Beacon of Hope in the Moroccan Humanitarian Landscape

In the heart of Morocco, the Maghreb Secours Association is working to alleviate the suffering of the most deprived and promote social development in the most isolated corners of the kingdom. Founded nearly ten years ago by the visionary Faouzia Barache Bousquet, this non-governmental organization has established itself as a key player in national solidarity.

A mission based on solidarity and development

The main objective of the Maghreb Secours Association is to provide tangible support to marginalized and vulnerable populations. Whether through emergency interventions or long-term development programs or even digging wells, each initiative is designed to offer a better quality of life to the beneficiaries. The mission is divided into several strategic axes: food aid, medical assistance, educational support, and community development programs.

Rapid crisis response

From the outset, the association has understood the importance of a rapid response in crisis situations. The food baskets distributed in rural areas, often cut off from traditional aid channels, are a first step towards food security. But the association's commitment does not stop there. Faced with limited access to medical care in certain regions, Maghreb Secours has also set up urgent medical interventions, saving lives through procedures ranging from basic care to complex surgical operations.

A commitment to the future

Under the leadership of Faouzia Barache Bousquet, the association continues to seek innovative ways to finance and expand its operations. A recent example is the mobile application “KARAM”, which links humanitarian efforts to financial resources from advertising. This innovative financing model ensures a source of regular income to support the association’s missions, while providing visibility to partner companies.

Strategic collaborations and partnerships

The success of the Maghreb Secours Association is also the result of close collaborations with local authorities, national institutions, and other NGOs. These partnerships allow for better coordination of efforts and maximization of available resources, essential for amplifying the impact of programs on the ground.

The future is bright

With its many ongoing and upcoming projects, the Maghreb Secours Association continues to chart a path of innovation and compassion. The development of urban vegetable gardens and the provision of training for young entrepreneurs demonstrate the association's proactive approach to persistent challenges. This is a dream that can only be realized with the help of the Moroccan State.

The mission of the Maghreb Secours Association is clear: not only to respond to immediate needs, but also to work towards a more equitable and united Morocco. In a world where inequalities are growing, the actions of Maghreb Secours are more necessary than ever to inspire change and generosity throughout the kingdom.

The continued commitment of Faouzia Barache Bousquet and her team is a powerful reminder that solidarity can transform lives, redrawing the contours of a society where everyone has their place and their chance to prosper.

Thanks to the authorities who give us so much help and support.

Testimony
  • I am sixteen years old and I belong to the “millennial generation” my parents to that of the “boomers”. I help the association with my computer knowledge. I am very motivated to try to change things in my country. Our existence must be lived with the idea that everything could stop from one day to the next, so we must prepare for our future and empathy towards others is vital.

  • As a student at Casa, my time at AMS was beneficial for me. Harden myself, become aware but above all direct my future in a more positive way. I appreciated the good advice, the teamwork, especially seeing that “unity is strength”. A course followed in France where my two years as a social actor gave me strong arguments appreciated by the school structure which trained me. I am proud to be Moroccan and my parents are happy with the doctorate I obtained. .

  • A big part of my life taking care of my family! At fifty-five I give more time to the humanitarian cause. Going to the most remote regions of the Kingdom with a team of young people engaged in humanitarian aid strengthens my opinion of these beautiful Moroccan youth who are the ferment of Morocco. Well done young people, you amaze me more every day!

  • Flooded and perilous roads, burning sun, inaccessible mountains… but welcoming populations, intrigued children: this is humanitarian action. Our passion for these douars becomes our primary vocation. Our interest in the cause of the most deprived among us is a goal in our lives. As a business manager in life, I am delighted to give my time and financial assistance so that the socially excluded are not forgotten!
