About

Our mission

For over ten years, Maghreb Secours has established itself as a committed humanitarian organization in Morocco, determined to be an agent of change. Our mission revolves around several key areas: helping people in need, responding to medical emergencies, supporting young Moroccans by offering them leadership opportunities, and actively contributing to the development of the Kingdom and the Greater Maghreb region.

We are taking concrete action:

Aid to the needy: Present on the ground, we provide food, material and medical assistance where hardship strikes.

Emergency health intervention: Saving lives is at the heart of our commitment, by mobilizing resources to perform life-saving cardiac or surgical interventions for serious and urgent cases.

Support for youth: We support young Moroccans to cultivate a vision of leadership on the scale of the Maghreb and Africa, offering them prospects to build a united and modern society.

Actions in case of disaster: During earthquakes, our knowledge of the environment and our network of partner associations throughout Morocco allow us to identify specific needs: distribution of tents, latrines and pallets, sometimes to benefit regions forgotten by the media but in real distress.

Sustainable development: We have initiated the digging of public wells in dried-up villages, in order to guarantee sustainable access to drinking water, always with authorization and responsible management of resources.

Entrepreneurial Networks: Faithful to the royal visions championed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, we support the emergence of entrepreneurial networks and encourage the return of Moroccan talent to the country to strengthen the economy and innovate within the framework of the "New Modern Morocco".

Guided by royal vision for over a decade, we draw inspiration from the Kingdom's ambition to promote human development, social inclusion, and progress across all sectors. Each year, Morocco achieves significant milestones: poverty reduction, widespread access to clean water, continuous improvement of healthcare infrastructure, encouragement of entrepreneurship, and increased influence on the African and international stage.

Maghreb Secours: A Global Commitment to the Well-Being of Vulnerable Populations

Since its inception, Maghreb Secours has been recognized for its commitment to helping the most disadvantaged populations in Morocco. In 2024, the organization will expand its efforts to address vital needs in several key areas.

Among the new departments, life-saving medical operations are at the heart of our mission. Maghreb Secours supports urgent surgical interventions, particularly for children with serious illnesses, thus ensuring access to essential care for the most vulnerable. We also provide prosthetics and orthotics to people with disabilities, thus offering them a chance to regain mobility and independence. It is clear that the Moroccan government has implemented a policy of care for the socially excluded or people with low incomes by guaranteeing access to hospitals. The large influx in public health services does not always allow for rapid care. Patients turn to our association to deal with the most urgent matters.

Faced with the water crisis in rural areas, our association is actively involved in the digging of wells authorized to ensure sustainable access to drinking water in isolated douars. These initiatives help to slow rural exodus and maintain a stable agricultural life for local families.

Finally, Maghreb Secours plays a crucial role in guiding young people. Through awareness programs for students, we encourage them to pursue professional careers in Morocco, thus promoting the socio-economic development of the country. Through these actions, we aspire to build an inclusive, united and resilient Morocco.

Our medical department at Maghreb Secours has been a true source of miracles and successes in our humanitarian mission. By rising to the challenge of meeting complex medical needs, we have already performed hundreds of lifesaving operations, particularly for the vulnerable population of children affected by serious pathologies, especially cardiac ones, as well as surgeries for the installation of prostheses, mainly for the lower limbs.

New Frontier – Karam Application

We are excited to announce our new initiative, the Karam app. Through this innovative application, we hope to increase our medical interventions and touch even more lives. Karam will facilitate communication, coordination and monitoring of interventions, thus allowing increased efficiency and an extended reach of our humanitarian action.
